This edible glitter was very pretty. I used it for my Christmas cookies. It was a little messy, we had glitter flying everywhere. But it didn't stick around like normal glitter does.

My granddaughter wanted a pumpkin cake for her birthday and I couldn't figure out how to write Happy Birthday on this cake, so I used press in letters on yellow fondant then dusted the fondant with the orange luster dust. I decided it made a nice shaded effecton the glazed frosting as well. Not messy like real glitter - cleans up easily and no taste or gritting feeling when eating it.

So I obviously went straight to the reviews before purchasing and I saw the disclaimer about the amount given in the 30mg bottle. The size would have been perfect and enough had it been filled with the same amount the picture shows. Mine was pretty empty when I opened it. I worked with what I had and I was barely able to cover the trimming of a 10inch cake. The flakes were a little hard to work with given they would either get stuck to the tweezers and toothpicks I used to transfer the flakes or they would kind of turn into a powdery form. I’ve never dealt with these gold flakes so I’m not sure if that’s how they work. Like I mentioned, the cost of the flakes would have been ok had the amount shown in the picture been the same. The color was perfect and overall it made the cake more appealing to me. Maybe I got a bad batch so I’m willing to try this product again.

My very clumpy chocolate drip did not come out as well as the professional bakers’ in the instructional videos I watched, but that is just fine. The gold served my purposes, and that’s all I can ask for. I think the color is spectacular, I just wish I knew how to make it brighter— perhaps if I had gotten off white melting candy instead of white? I thought the quality was excellent, and I don’t think I overpaid.

I bought this because I needed a large amount, and it was only able to use half the jar. Most of it was stuck to the lid, tried to remove it and it turns to powder. once I got to the bottom, the rest of it was stuck there also. Once you touch it, it completely dissolves. most of it was also lost on the tweezers as I was applying to the cake.

These gold flakes worked out great for me did have to by and extra one because they don’t come with very much gold flakes. Loved how fancy and elegant they made the dessert look.

Used it fir my dubai chocolate bars. They turned out beautifully stunning.

This looks so cool in our drinks. It adds a bit of sparkle and fun .. easy to use and you get a large amount so you can get lots of use out of one container- great value!

As I get older and more health conscious, I’m trying to be a more healthy eater as well as baker. Let’s face it though, every once in a while for aesthetics, we need a bit of razzle dazzle. This edible luster dust gives a bit of bling to ones baked goods but like everything else, I go with the a little goes a long way attitude. The color of this item is indeed a vibrant violet. As labeled, it really doesn’t have a taste or flavor. It’s meant to be edible décor. I was very pleased to see a little application spoon attached to the jar. It’s sealed in its own cellophane which again, I do appreciate. If one has used these types of food glitters before you’ll know that it can be tricky to get just what you need out of the jar without making a big mess. This little spoon will help with that. There are however several things which I would have liked to seen. While there is an expiration date sticker on the product (nice shelf life on this… a generous 4+ years from date of receipt), it is on the outer cellophane wrap of the product. Once you remove the cellophane, the jar no longer has the expiration date sticker on it. I would prefer the sticker be placed on the jar itself as then it would be more useful for the user. Secondly, nowhere on this jar do I see where this product was actually made. I feel that is a bit of a red flag for basic informational purposes.

The amount is small for the price but it’s good quality. I never applied gold leaf before and you can’t even breathe on it or else it goes everywhere. When you use it don’t have any fans or anything that causes wind. You might even want to wear a mask while applying it so you don’t blow the pieces away!

I know this for a wedding cake. When opened it was mostly empty. It was gold on the side that made it seem as if the container was full but it’s wasn’t. I was pretty disappointed. The gold looks good though.

Good quality

I tested this on strawberry cupcakes and it gave them a very spacey metallic shimmer- so pretty! Had zero taste and the metallic dust is very finely-milled. I didn't have a brush though and the jar didn't have a shaker top- only came with a wooden spoon (a very cute little one at that)- so I kinda made do with scooping and dispersing with a spoon. I ended up with glitter and little dust piles everywhere, so will have to try a better method the next time! I think the only addition I'd like to see is a marking of where this was made on the label for those that look for that info.
